Rogue Karma

*Note: This post by Indi occurs the day after her gallbladder surgery, something she is glad occurred before the trip started. However, due to the effects of the Hydrocodone, we at Rhys&Indi blog are not held responsible for... well... anything.*

Yeah, it's really early. I was sleeping in the recliner, but it's bright in here, and I was going to try the bed again. Just updating while I'm waiting for the hydrocodone to take some sort of effect. It's straight hydro this time instead of hydro+ibuprofen, so that's good. Doesn't seem a whole lot stronger, but the instructions say I can take two pills instead of just one, which I have done. Plus I get a refill. Woot.

So the doctor (who looks just like Jack Shepard from Lost wooooo) comes out and tells my family that the surgery went really well, textbook. But he warned them that "she's going to feel like she's been stabbed for a while."

Really?

Stabbed? For whom, exactly, would that be a frame of reference? "Oh, yeah, this pain? This pain is just like those stabbings I got back in 'Nam."

I think anyone who has actually been stabbed would probably laugh at this pain. But if I ever get stabbed (not an invitation), I'll let you know how it measures up. Maybe it's true, and I'll be like, "Wow, that Dr. Griffin was totally right. Rock on."

Back to try to sleep now.

Oh, and I think we're going to do a stripped down estate sale and lease the house fully-furnished.
